The Jaws Thing
This is a great movie. There’s a part early on when two characters find a severely damaged item, and upon one exclaiming to the effect of ‘what happened here’, a hideous dead body is discovered in the throes of death. There’s also an autopsy scene, which really grosses out the guy doing it. Later, the three characters in this film end up stuck with nowhere to go. One of the characters goes kinda nuts and destroys any hope of communicating with the outside world for help. At one point, they try to destroy the monster beneath them, in its own cold and wet environment. It fails. Near the end, the beast is coming towards one of them. Everyone else is surely dead. One last victim to finish off (or was there a 2nd guy somewhere we lost track of?). Death seems imminent. Once the monster has an explosive in its possession, the hero makes a last-ditch effort to get it to explode.
